What about the cookies that are essential, such as for logging on here and other websites, does it delete these? If it deletes unused programs, does it ask first? I've been using it for quite some time now and I've never had any problems with it - using it in conjunction with Regseeker keeps things running nice and smooth. It deletes unused files not programmes and I've never had any problem logging on at this site, or any other site, after it's done its job on cookies. If there is any rubbish whatsoever on your computer, then CC will find it and, the first time you run CC, it can be quite disconcerting the amount of stuff it finds (you also get the option of creating a backup before deleting anything under the issues tab). djohn Posted December 12, 2004 Report Share Posted December 12, 2004 After running it the first time andsome, log into all you fav sites, and place them into the "Ignore list" of ccleaner. from this point on it will remove all cookies except the ones you wish to keep. D4\/!d Posted December 14, 2004 Report Share Posted December 14, 2004 ...and how do you clear out a TIF folder such as these two:C:\Documents and Settings\PowerUser\Local Settings\TempC:\Documents and Settings\PowerUser\Local Settings\Temporary Internet FilesI run my housekeeping from Administrator user logon, but none of the CCleaners nor Disk Cleanup utils touch these PowerUser folders.
