rab
I have always had the original icon that said "Outlook Express". Now it's an envelope with an arrow around it and w211 as the title. Properties says it was created April 15, 2004. What gives?
nellie2
I don't use Outlook Express so I had to go hunting for it to find the icon, is this pic what your's looks like? I can only assume that you downloaded an update from MS that updated OE in April!
rab
Yes. except there's that upturned black arrow in the corner of the envelope that I see alot of.
ɹəuəllıʍ ʇɐb
The upturned arrow indicates that the item is a shortcut. You can change the arrow using TweakUI.
djohn
Not sure how it got the name w211 underneath but the screen shot from nellie2 is correct and as pwillener says, the black arrow is to show its a shortcut. You can change the name back to Outlook express or just Express if you wish by right clicking your cursor on the Icon and select "Rename". Type the name back in and click anywhere on the desktop away from the Icon. :)PS: have you run a virus scan just to be on the safe side?
