homecomputeraid
I'm working today, and I just took a call from someone who loses her VPN Connection and, it turns out, her Internet Connection every time she receives a phone call. She has a 2.4 Ghz Wireless Phone, and 2.4 Ghz Wireless Router. :)Just posting so any of you thinking about getting a wireless phone can make sure its a different frequency from your router wireless router, if you have one! Chris
Tell her to swap channel on the router or even the phone - if possible?
scuzzman
Tell her to swap channel on the router or even the phone - if possible?Very possible. Inside the router's wireless settings there is a channel options, and on phones many you simply turn it on and hit channel. This will most likely temporarily resolve the issue, but it is much better to simply upgrade to a 2.8Ghz wireless phone.
homecomputeraid
The users phone was not capable of switching channels, and it was beyond the scope of what I was permitted to do to help her change channels on her router and NIC. She's probably going to get a different phone.
