mark2
I downloaded this quite a while back and have played it, altho not a game player I found it fun. Before you can play online you have to pass 4 basic levels to qualify. Not played it recently tho, but weekends were an absolute bathtub to find a server with a space on, Blueyonder do have some servers that run it, most were stateside with pings in the region of 135 for me.I burnt it to disc after I'd d/loaded it, but that was 2-3 mths ago there as been at least one patch since. If you're interested Shirl PM me with a snail mail addy. <_>
Guest ellas
its version 1.6 now but there have been reported bugs in it,I also have version 1.5 on disc, never played it because it said this game will not play with direct9x but apparently it will,if mark2 does not send you it I will. :) or if you really want the latest version I will d/load and burn it to cd for you. Agent Smith
Most of the online servers are now patched to 1.6, so I would recommend using that version. Like the others, if you let me know an addy, I will happily burn and forward to you. Point of note though, it is entirely server based (although you can use some commands to enter maps for an orientation session offline), so if you are using dial up it can be a bit laggy. Also it is quite fussy about which grafix card you use, so best to check out the AA site for details. However on broadband, I find it an enjoyable game. And as I don't play any other game in this genre, it must be good fun! :P I find that "all seeing eye" is the best bit of kit for finding a server. Some useful links AA official site Some training commands All Seeing EyeIf anyone needs more info regarding the training codes, post back. Guest Shirley_Crabtree
Pah!!I've just been reading the minimum requirements for the game and my AMD Durex 750 CPU is a little UNDER the figure (They suggest at least a P3 766!!)Maybe I'll get away with it,maybe I'd have to wait to play it after my next (hopefully soon) upgrade. My ATI Radeon 9100LE 64DDr should be up to the job though.Mr. Invincible Mouse.....seeing as you seem to have the most up-to-date version I would be very grateful to take you up on your kind offer.I will PM you.And Ellas,Mark2 and Paul, thanks a lot for your generous offers :DCheers all.Shirl. Agent Smith
PS I have the full 1.6 version sitting on my server at work (one advantage of having control over a 4 mbit connection), I am off work tomorrow, but can burn it and post on thursday if interested.Mr. M.
