Magic words: "only two months old".

Have you informed your supplier? This message often indicates something fundamentallyv wrong with the machine. Does it shut down completely or does it restart?

Have a look in the Event Viewer to see what that says just prior to this fault occuring.

Event Viewer

RIGHT click My Computer and click on Manage. Click on the + sign next to Event Viewer and then click on each of the categories in turn. You should get list of everything that happens in the machine. Look for any yellow or red flagged messages.

When you are in event manager, if you double click on the line with the exclamation mark or the red circle then a box will pop up with a bit more information in it! If you are luck and click on the link under the title For more information, see Help and Support Center at You might even get some idea on what's causing the error. But I'll be honest, when I click on that link I usually get

We're sorry

There is no additional information about this issue in the Error and Event Log Messages or Knowledge Base databases at this time. You can use the links in the Support area to determine whether any additional information might be available elsewhere.

But it is worth a try! :)

Hello frustratedfrank, is it safe to assume you are using Internet Explorer as your browser? If so, may I suggest that you try installing an alternate browser, such as Firefox, and see if you can recreate the problem using that browser.

This could at least narrow down the possible problem areas.

Firefox is available from HERE
