Help, I have been trying to install a Belkin Wirless G PCI Network card on the kids computer and the damn thing won't recognize the card.

I started with a Netgear card, returned it and got the Belkin. I reformatted the HD, reinstalled 98 and SE to no avail. I have removed every PCI card from the computer and tried the Wireless NIC in all the slots. 98SE still will not recognize the card.

Anyone have an idea ?

Thanks

I had the same problem. Have you tried other devices in the pci slots? I think a controller or something was fried when I installed mine, nothing worked after that (modem, wireless card, ethernet card). I gave it up and purchased a usb wireless adapter instead, about the same cost and portable! Solution? Maybe, maybe not.
