Its handsets are sold by 67 networks in 48 countries but its share of the market has been limited by its high prices.It hopes the new phone will be more attractive to operators and is now looking for a major handset name that wants its brand on the phone.Original story here. andsome Posted February 14, 2005 Report Share Posted February 14, 2005 Until I saw this thread, I was not even aware that Microsoft sold mobile phones. Do they sell in the UK? What bothers me about this article, is that Microsoft as with many other manufacturers seem hell bent on phones that do everything including making a cup of tea or coffee. I hope that manufacturers won't loose sight of the fact that there is still a market for people who want to telephone and send text messages to their friends, and don't want a phone that also sings and dances, takes photographs, accesses the INTERNET, and makes the afore mentioned tea and coffee. Craig Posted February 14, 2005 Report Share Posted February 14, 2005 My Orange SPV mobile phone runs Microsoft Windows Mobile 2003.I can log into MSN, read email, use IE to browse the net etc. Oh and it can be used to ring people and send text messages.Dont know what i would do without it now.
