I use a NorthQ 6600 A->D converter and obtain excellent results

http://www.scan.co.uk/Products/ProductInfo...roductID=135089 It comes with WinDVD Creator 4 as the software

I have also used a Hauppauge PVR with an analogue input.

There is little or no degradation in picture quality.

Pinnacle/Dazzle to a number of A->D converters for transferring VHS to DVD

I'm surprised that the NorthQ product is not available in the US. Its default TV system is NTSC which strongly suggests it is primarily aimed at a US market.

My google search results for NorthQ 6600 A->D converter yielded only UK, NE or Russian links.

I will give it another go along with a search of the Pinnacle and Dazzle products. Is there one particular unit from these companies that you recommend for my inteneded use?

Edit: NorthQ's resellers: http://www.northq.com/reseller.html

Any chance of buying direct from Denmark?

Regarding Pinnacle etc, let me have a look tomorrow - it's past my bedtime now :)

One thing though, Pinnacle processing is long and involved and takes huge amounts of hard drive space. A one and a half hour video takes seven hours + to render on to DVD and requires 40GB+ drive space. This drive space is recovered afterwards but it is necessary for it to be there.

Thanks pops..no need to look at Pinnacle based on that info.

Will look into the Denmark purchase vs cost. Thanks!
