Guest Nellie2
well I still can't tune my guitar....... :( Was having a look at the chords page.....the piccy's took a while to open and I am on BB.....it could have been the connection at the time though....has anyone on dial up had problems with those pages?Ok....here is something most likely from a womans perspective, you know that it is well known that a woman has to have the map pointing the way she is going......it is just the way our brains work.....honest!!! Well as far as doing the chords go it would be easier for me if the pictures looked the way the neck of my guitar would look if I was looking down on it....for me to get the idea I have to turn my chair away and then squis around to look at the picture.........would a mirror image work. Is it just me or would others find that easier too.
Guest Damo
Thats a good point Nellie2, i was considering doing some top down photo's, with my hand fretting the chords, but i decided against it in the end, because would have had to hold the guitar with my left hand, and twist my right arm behind my head to take the photo! Seriously tho, i will get some top down views done, so it'll be just as if your looking down on your own guitar.CheersDamoPS, regarding the photos taking so long, im stumped over this, someone else has pointed this out to me aswell, is it because they're .png, i thought they were supposed to be better for web based graphics? but i could be wrong!
Prince of Calcutta
awwwwww the pics take forever to load :( i think its best to go with jpeg..?
Prince of Calcutta
i think each pic has a file size of aboot 200 kb.. not a lot but when you have a lot of pics...i'm sure you could reduce it to less than 80 or so if you were to save them as jpeg.. Prince of Calcutta
whoa i was right...200 kb as png...9.5 as jpeg
peter e
It's coming on, Damo. I think the only downside with the tutorial is the time images take to load (an age on my 56K) - but I'm sure you'll sort it out. Photos look great but maybe line drawings would be as effective and would load fairly quickly.I'll pop in now and then to see how things are going. But remember that "Rome wasn't built in a day" and keep up the good work. ;) Pete
