fikrilazam
Hi..I have a BenQ 52x24 CD-RW writer, but the fastest burning speed is just 12x using Nero 6 Ultra. I'm not sure if this is a problem with Nero or WinXP, so I'm hoping you guys could help me with this.Even when I'm using 52x CD-R disc, it still burns at 12x. Seems that 12x is the highest speed available in my Nero settings.Thanks.p/s: my specsPentium 4 1.8Ghz160GB HDD512MB RAMWinXP SP2
-pops-
The writing speed depends on the discs that you are using. What is the speed of the disc? It should be stated on the wrapper/carton/packaging.A possible important point is that even if you are able to get up to the full speed, I suggest that you don't. There have been reports discs shattering (effectively exploding) due to the forces exerted at that speed. This almost always results in the demise of the writer. I was speaking to my son about it after I wrote the above and he has had experience of it in the office next to his studio. Discs shatter with a very loud noise. I this case, pieces of the disc caught in the motor of the drive causing it to vibrate loudly before it gave up completely and burned out. andsome
I usually copy photo's and text at 12X, and music at 8X. My writer is rated at 52X24X52X
r4may
I have a BenQ 52x24 CD-RW writerThe 52 is probably the Read speed and the 24 the Max write speed. When writing the speed varies depending on where it is writing on the CD for some reason, which I could never fathom.
