Tony
Hi allOK i have a Nokia 7650 Mobile phone, that is getting renewed tomorrow, as it faulty. I want to save all my Contacts, photos, games and SMS messages i have on it.I have brought my self a D-Link Blue-tooth USB dongle (DBT-120) now i tried to transfer the phone data to my PC yesterday, without any luck.I have windows XP home SP2 as my OS.I plugged the dongle into the PC and XP found it fine, then i set the phone up and switched on the Blue-tooth function, and told the dongle to scan for devices, it found the phone with out a problem. Then i installed the Nokia 7650 PC software, all seemed to go well. But the Nokia connection manager that gets installed along side the the PC Suite software said that "No Phone Found", on starting the PC Suite software a box comes up saying that "Make sure that my phone is switched on and ready to connect then click OK" there is an OK & A Cancel button, clicking OK does nothing, clicking Canal terminates the program.I messed about uninstalling all the software an re-installing it in a different order but had the same result. Now i have just set the PC back to a restore point before i tried to set any of this up, and i want to try again, is there a certain order i need to install it all? if not do any of you have any ideas as to why the phone was showing up as not connected even though XP found the phone? Thanks for any help on this matter.Tony
expertec
I think SP2 screws bluetooth up rather... my brother couldn't get his bluetooth dongle to work when he put SP2 on, eventually replaced it with a data cable.
