benb Posted March 11, 2005 Report Share Posted March 11, 2005 Okay. What do you mean you "cant change the homepage"? Do you mean Tools > Internet Options doesn't work? Also, do you have updated anti-virus software such as Norton Antivirus or AVG 7. If you don't, this post has some good free antivirus programs. Also, you should run an antispyware or too. Lavasoft Ad-aware is good, and so is Spybot - Search and Destroy. Lastly, Microsoft Antispyware is good, but I believe it is only for Windows XP, 2000, and server 2003. You should also post a Hijack This log so that the experts can help you if you have any viruses or spyware. If you do not know how to use Hijack this or post a log, this post will help you. Good luck.Added:You may also want to try some free online virus scans. Some good ones are:TrendMicro HousecalleTrust Antivirus Web ScannerPanda ActiveScanAnother question... Do you have any firewall software installed? If you don't I highly suggest that you get some form of protection, whether its the SP2 firewall or another firewall.
