YES. and the most important part too.. my modem.

As far as I can tell, x64 has NO support for dial-up modems. And during my browsing for solutions, I noticed that some DSL modems were not supported either.

EDIT: Also the reason I don't use Linux...

If things went my way, I'd have 3 Linux distro's and windows x64 on my comp.

But no modem drivers = windows xp home edition

Thanks for the quick answer,.

Linux recognises my cable connection with no problems, I have tried about 8 different distros and never had a problem with the cable modem but my new scanner will only work in windows as I forgot to do some research before I brought it to make sure it would run under Linux, still those programmers at SANE are having a go at writing drivers for it so it is just a case of wait and see.

Have you tried any of the 64 bit Linux OS`s?.

No. But now that you mention it, maybe I will.

If you happen to see any generic 56k modem drivers for windows x64 in your searches... LET ME KNOW! B)
