Hello

I have a request for information. Im typing up resumes. I want to use Email to send them. But i dont want to use attachments. I wish for my resume to appear in the body of the email.

Ive typed up a couple resumes using Microsoft Word templates. These resumes are both saved as .DOC and .RTF files. Now i wish to convert these files (as they are) to HTML format so i may send nice looking resume emails (without attachments) right to my potential employer.

note:

if .DOC, .RTF are no good - i also have the resumes saved as .PDF

Think carefully before you do this.

A lot of educational establishements and businesses have their email client set to plain text for receiving emails so, however much effort you put into making your resumé or CV look the part, it is all lost when it gets to the other end.

Your best bet is to send as a PDF attachment. All companies are able to read this file type, it is compact and your layout and formatting is retained as per the original - this is not necessarily the case with, say, Word where a change in margin settings at the other end can completely wreck your careful design and planning.

Yep, I agree with pops, if you are insistent on sending your resume via email, then send it as a pdf, so it will display the way you intend it.

You're best to use PDF this way it is platform independent.

I'll also concur on the previously stated, as most institutions anymore because of security concerns don't use HTML mail. That said, in Word I believe you can go to File->Save as Web Page and it will do the HTML for you.
