CurlyWhirly Posted April 3, 2005 Report Share Posted April 3, 2005 I have recently been having trouble with Active X controls on certain websites which stop them displaying correctly. :( So I thought that I would try out Mozilla Firefox and I do agree that it is a better browser, as it seems faster at loading webpages.One thing I do miss though is the Internet Explorer 'click' when clicking on a website link, as it was a neat way of knowing whether the 'click' had actually registered with the website or not. I know that this sounds daft but in some cases you aren't sure if it registers or not if you don't hear a 'click', and in the case of PCA, it is quite easy to make multiple postings!Does anyone know if it is possible to get it back or is this sound only able to be used when using Internet Explorer?Thanks in advance for any help offered :) Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
-pops- Posted April 3, 2005 Report Share Posted April 3, 2005 Isn't it odd how people like different things.The first thing I do with all my machines is to disable all these extraneous noise generating bits and bobs that Bill Gates thinks we are all gasping to use and applaud.As an aside, don't you find it irritating (and way past reality) that whenever a computer is shown in a TV drama or similar, it always makes a plethora of silly noises totally unrelated to the sounds that I've ever heard a computer make (even other people's). :)Sorry, that's totally off the point and no help whatsoever :( Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
CurlyWhirly Posted April 3, 2005 Author Report Share Posted April 3, 2005 No need to aplogise pops, It's just that while using Firefox early this morning, I accidentally pressed 'send post' a few times in the PCA forum resulting in multiple postings. I was so used to hearing a 'clicking' noise, that I thought that I hadn't pressed the mouse button hard enough :blush: Having said this, their recent server problem didn't help either!Anyway, we all have individual 'tastes' as I expect that's why it's called a Personal Computer :rolleyes: (as you no doubt know this already) Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

If you have read my post you will know that I found it impossible to go to a certain website due to an annoying Active X control problem, and using firefox was the only way for me to access it.
