Qwertvert
Here I am again...Anyways, for some reason, the icons for my HTM and HTML files have been switched to the default no-icon,-XP-is-gonna-use-the-default-one-for-unknown-files. I tried changing the icon in Folder Options, but even after a restart, it hasn't changed. I can't seem to change any other icons either.Anyone know what I can do? Or what I might be doing wrong. scuzzman
Open Internet Explorer, and opt to "Reset Web Settings" (Tools->Internet Options->Programs). If that doesn't do it, download TweakUI and run "Repair Icons"
Qwertvert
That works for changing the icon, but the problem is that it sets Internet Explorer back to the default web page program, which I don't want. When I reset Opera as the default, it changes back to the default no-icon,-XP-is-gonna-use-the-default-one-for-unknown-files. Is there a way to change just the icon. To any random ICO file or icon in a DLL or EXE, that is.
Scarecrow Man
Perhaps your Opera installation has been damaged? Opera, like Firefox, and Netscape, will take over the icons for .htm, .html etc. files. I would uninstall, and reinstall Opera.
