catgate
I am sat at my daughter's trying to make sense of Mr.Gates' nonsenses (98SE). The System File checker tells me that setupx.dll is corrupt (or altered). I have tried to replace it from the instalation disc but it,the machine, claims it can not find it. Nor can it find it on the installation discs for IE6, Office 2000 Pro, the Monitor Cd nor even half way up my kilt. What is it?
scuzzman
Setupx.dll - The primary DLL used during the Copy Files phase to perform most of the installation procedures. It is responsible for reading INF files, handling disks, and copying files. From here.I cannot guarantee its authenticity, but as a last resort you can download it here and register it manually...
