korgg
I wonder if the mail that is sent to users (topic reply notification ) can have in the subject field the name of the topic.. Right now it just says "Topic subscription reply notification (from neoplanet.co.uk)"...Could it be something like: " Topic Reply Notification - -DiffMark v2.7 Final-" ???or more general "Topic Reply Notification - name of the topic " ???I use yahoo messenger or gaim and they tell me when I get new mail and from who...Or implement some kind of RSS feed on the forum ... this would be really great :) ..Thanks ! korgg
Ok ! But can't anything be done with the subject of the mail ? It would mean so much to me ... I'm watching MASH (the serial) these days and a pop-up window apperars over the movie when I get some mail.. And there are a few topics arround here that I expect some sort of replies and I have to intrerupt the movie to see wich topic got replies .. And MASH is my all time favorite serial .. I'm not happy when I pause it ...ps: I guess it's time to get some sleep ... :( (5 episodes in row)... boring life :(
andsome
As far as I can see, my e-mail links do give me the information as to what the topic is about. Why not stop the pop up if it causes annoyance. I use Mailwasher, and a very small mail notification appears in the bottom right hand corner of my screen when mail is waiting on the server. I can double click it when I am ready to see my mail.
nellie2
I'm afraid we can't do anything about the subject line but if you go to My Controls and click on 'email settings' then you have the option to include a copy of the post when the board emails you about a subscribed topic.I use mailwasher to preview my emails and find this feature very handy! korgg
I'll try this option then ... Thanks !I was trying to upload a screenshot but seems i got an error :"The total filespace required to upload all the attached files is greater than your per post or global limit. Please reduce the number of attachments or the size of the attachments."
nellie2
Again you need to go into My Controls and then click on Manage Your Attachments, if you have reached the limit of your attachement space then you can deletle some of your older ones. This is a brilliant feature that saves us poor old admins a lot of work!! :D
korgg
Yeap .. you're quite right .. Thanks again ! But seems like I only use 2% of my 5 MB limit and the picture I wanted to upload was 128K at most ... Well I can live with this :)

korgg
Well yet another small issue: Take a look at the attachament and pls tell me where's the Edit button .. Or there's a limited time when someone can edit a post ?
andsome
You can only edit for a period after you have posted, then the edit button disappears in a cloud of smoke.
ɹəuəllıʍ ʇɐb
You can only edit for a period after you have posted, then the edit button disappears in a cloud of smoke. That is for forum subscribers only; there is no smoke for ordinary users :D
nellie2
NeoPlanet members can edit their posts, you have a 15 minute window after posting to do this, plenty of time to check your post over and correct any mistakes. :P
