It still took me to the usual page. When I clicked your link, I was offered new software to download, the update page then changed slightly.It appears that this is not automatically offered just yet, and a link such as yours is needed. It seems to be using a different catalog.Don't know why Microsoft is not automatically updating to the V6 version; it's not beta ware any more. Chris Posted June 20, 2005 Report Share Posted June 20, 2005 I believe we'll all be switched over in July.When you are on Microsoft Update there is an option to go back to Windows Update.Either way you'll be offered the same updates. However with Microsoft Update you'll also have updates for Microsoft Office, offered as well.When you go to Windows Update look on the right under News: Upgrade to Microsoft Update. Automatically receive updates for Windows, Office and moreTo get access to all features on Microsoft Update you'll have to install Windows Installer 3.1 which will be offered. Last night Microsoft Update (AutoUpdate) installed an update for a product that I do not have installed on my system:Critical Update for Office XP on Windows XP Service Pack 2 (KB885884)I do not have Office XP installed; I have Office 2003.
