surreyfrog
I would appreciate any help anyone can give in fixing this little problem. It's about a Windows XP feature that has suddenly stopped working but I don't know why. When I used to plug my digital camera into the PC, I'd hear a bing-bong noise and a window automatically came up asking me what I wanted to use the camera for - to upload pictures, use it as a webcam etc etc. then it would take me through the steps by linking me to the appropriate wizard. Very handy. Now when I plug it in I get bing-bong but no window. I can force it up by going into My Computer, finding the camera, then right clicking and choosing autoPlay, but it's long winded and I want it do it automatically when I plug the camera in like it used to.Any thoughts would be very welcome

surreyfrog
I have managed to find out what is causingthe problem. Surprisingly it is RealPlayer. For some reason the latest version of Real Player prevents 'AutoPlay' from starting up when I connect the camera. I have uninstalled RealPlayer and now it works just fine.
