Hooray - rain at last

I am so pleased that we have had a couple of days steady rainfall. For two main reasons.

Firstly - the gardens badly needed it

Secondly - it is a blessed relief to be able to walk around the town without being constantly distracted by the sight of scantily dressed sun bronzed young ladies with slender legs all the way up their armpits, bare midriffs and jiggling bosoms astride deep cleavages. It's so nice to see them fully clothed and huddled under umbrellas.

- - -and the revolting fat hairy bellies poking out between tatty old trousers and a filthy string vest and scrawny, varicosed vein legs emerging from white towelling socks with the feet in sandals and the shiny bald heads with skin beginning to peel from the effects of the sun and the flabby, wobbling, hairy bosoms of grossly obese middle-aged men. I could go on.

Sorry to burst the bubble of your Utopia, Alan. :)

Are you sure you have not been suffering from heat stroke. These were surely recalled sights from your youth and slightly after. All I seem to see these days is a sea of grossly overweight, tatooed, body-pierced, heavily painted slabs of flesh, clad in a mishmash of scraps of garments culled from Oxfam's "returns" from Biafra.
