Flash Drive Recomendation

Recommended Posts

I am currently using SanDisk Cruzer Mini 512MB. I was using a SanDisk Cruzer Mini 128MB before this.

I am VERY happy with the speed and storage of these drives, but I have not been gentle with them. I have wrecked both, but they both still work.

What I've done is plugged them into a computer (or laptop) and I have tipped the computer over to check something on the back, or whatever, only to realize I forgot my flash drive plugged into the front which is now bent at almost 90 degrees (as apposed to 180)

Basically I am looking for a drive that will give me the high speed performance of USB 2.0, but the durability of a piece of solid steel without breaking my wallet.

I am also thinking about going up to 1GB. I fill my 512 with my daily programs, but will need more space when school starts again.

any recomendations?

Sandisk Titanium Cruzer is designed for tough use environments, but the price is

:jawdrop:

I also wonder if it would actually help as the USB plug/body connecting part isn't likely to be any stronger and that sounds like where the damage has occurred. I know if I bent £78 worth I'd go ballistic. I wasn't too happy when I damaged my cheapo from ebuyer, fortunately I managed to squeeze it back into shape with a vice ( I know real hi tech, but what the hell it worked.)
