ESET’s NOD32 Achieves 33rd Consecutive Virus Bulletin 100% Award

ESET, a global security software company providing next-generation malware protection, today announced that their flagship product, NOD32, received its 33rd consecutive Virus Bulletin 100% award for flawless virus protection. Virus Bulletin is widely recognized within the antivirus industry for its rigorous comparative tests focusing on virus detection rates, scanning speed, and generation of false positives. To earn a Virus Bulletin 100% Award, an antivirus product must detect all of the current “In the Wild” viruses during both on-demand and on-access scanning in Virus Bulletin's comparative tests. The product must also generate no false positives when scanning a set of clean files.

I have been using Nod 32 for some weeks now, since I got annoyed when I was about to renew Norton 2003, only to be told that support would no longer be available. I have been very impressed with the ease of use of the program. I also needed to phone with a query just after setting it up, and the service was excellent, with both e-mail support and telephone support available from within the UK. AVG may be free, but it does not have the same record as Nod 32. The price is very small when you consider the peace of mind, and the support which is there for the asking.
