A complete security package for Blueyonder customers has(finally)been released. It includes Anti-virus, Firewall, Anti-Spyware, Pop-up blocker, Parental Control and Privacy Manager software.

More info and download link is available here http://www.blueyonder.co.uk/blueyonder/get...securitypcguard

As far as I can tell, it's free for all Blueyonder customers.

Details below Boris

:D It also seems to be downloadable if you're not a Blueyonder customer !

Wonder if it'll work ?

I've got to build a new AMD-64 rig at the weekend for a friend - I'll install this and see what happens ! ;)

is it anygood? i might download it if it is :Cool Toungue:

I've installed it and going by first impressions, I'm quite impressed. It's obviously been designed with total beginners in mind as it's easy to set up, and once it is set up it should look after itself as it auto-updates and also provides real time spyware scanning. It found something both Spybot S&D and Ad-Aware missed.

I'll see over the next few days/weeks if it causes any problems with my system and give everyone the heads up if I run into any anomalys.

Boris, you have to have internet access during the installation process for the s/w to load and become active on your system. At a guess it's verifying you're on a Blueyonder connection. I might be wrong though.

Thanks for adding the above thumbnail to my original post. I had read that, but forgot to edit my posting

Just be wary of false positives ?

Does it quarantine things so you can put them back if needed ?

It does quarantine items. It found two items, one of which was related to Fresh UI. I just added it to a trusted program list so as it will be "ignored" in the future.
