Belatucadrus Posted August 23, 2005 Report Share Posted August 23, 2005 ewido is an anti spyware/Trojan tool that has AVG listed on its compatibility page, so they shouldn't conflict.mwav is just a scanner, once run that's it, it has no active components, so can't be conflicting with AVG. As it doesn't update automatically, you need to download the whole thing again when new virus signatures are loaded, so there's no point in keeping it. Use once then delete.To be honest I have problems with both of them, ewido claimed to be compatible with my avast! AV, it wasn't. Mwav is a shadow of what it used to be, it was a stand alone virus scanner that fixed what it found, it's now very much geared to getting you to pay for the commercial version and I find its reports give false positives.
