cohrt
Cannot connect Logitech Quickcam to USB via hub, but directly I can. What to do?
bvw
It should connect OK with a powered hub...if the hub isn't powered you may have problems.
Scarecrow Man
I've had many problems with USB hubs. This is likely a power issue, and you may need to have the Camera directly plugged for it to work. I doubt there is anything else you can do short of purchasing a new hub that supports high power devices.
cohrt
My webcam now after several tries functions directly connected to USB. My hub is powerassisted but does not function. Any idea in trying out another powerassisted hub?
-pops-
I have never had any success with USB hubs - powered or unpowered. In my view they are the creation of the Devil. Many years ago they didn't work for me and I was asked to fit one the other day and again it didn't work reliably and this was a supposedly "good" Belkin one.Far better (and potentially cheaper) is to fit a USB PCI card. This does depend on you having room in your computer to accomodate this but it will end all these wil it/won't it work question you are getting with a hub.
