bountyboy Posted October 30, 2005 Report Share Posted October 30, 2005 hmm ok so i searched this forum and i seemed not to find my problem but i think i found ppl that can solve my problem, first i enabled japanese text on my computer and it seems to not help with some of the games i wish to play. Also i seem not to be able to type in japanese in these games either or read it. is there any way to make my windows completly japanese? But unfortunately Windows is not one of these softwares. You buy the US-English Windows version, and it will install and operate as US-English Windows. You buy the German version of Windows, and you will have German Windows. And the same with Japanese: you'll have to buy Japanese Windows for it to appear in Japanese.However, you can partially "japanize" some Windows components. Go to the Microsoft website and search for "multilanguage user interface" or "MUI" and you will find that many parts of Windows can actually be changed to other languages, such as Japanese.You mention some games that work incorrectly under English Windows. Is it that they do not display Japanese text correctly? If so, you may need some 3rd party software to correct that. One such software is NJWIN, which you can test for free for 30 days; to see if it helps with your problem.I really, really, really think that it's time for Microsoft to put all languages into one Windows. It shouldn't even be decided at installation time what language I want Windows to appear, but at the time when I log in. So multiple users of the same computer can use it in different languages. It can even be the same user, e.g. a software developer, who wants to test his/her product under different languages.It is interesting that small developers of free software such as Ccleaner or Spybot Search & Destroy have long adopted multilanguage systems.
