scuzzman Posted December 22, 2005 Report Share Posted December 22, 2005 On Tuesday, Symantec admitted that all versions of Norton Anti-Virus (NAV) contain a security vulnerability that could allow a malicious user to remotely take control of the computer. This kind of announcement is common to Windows users but this flaw also affects NAV running on Apple's OS X platform.Symantec has not yet issued a patch to fix the issue but it has updated its scanning signatures to look for applications that try to exploit the vulnerability.Full article Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

The ONLY reason that I got rid of it was when they told me I could pay up for future downloads, but wold no longer qualify for support. This was for a 2003 program. I thought that that was awful for a two year old program, so got rid of it. I now use Nod 32 AV, and have local telephone support and e-mail support for as long as I subscribe. NO time limits.
