masefield Posted January 2, 2006 Report Share Posted January 2, 2006 Sorry if asked before - but I had to reinstall windows xp following reformatting hard drive on laptop. I have now reformatted and reinstalled xp - but having reactivated it have noted that when I look at Control Panel. The following appear to be missing - Automatic Updates, Security Centre and Windows Firewall. Has anybody got any clues as to what I should do - or is the alternative having to repeat the operation. My daughter's room mate is from Cincinatti and calls it soda, as do her room mates from eastern Pennsylvania and Baltimore, Maryland. An interesting page showing the geographic breakdown on the terminology in the USA. BTW: The Ohio State University just won the Fiesta Bowl football game vs. Notre Dame.
