creedle Posted January 28, 2006 Report Share Posted January 28, 2006 There are two accounts on my computer and starting today if I log into one account while the other is "logged on" my screen goes black..after a while the cursor appears but thats all. creedle Posted January 29, 2006 Author Report Share Posted January 29, 2006 If you go to the logout button in the start menu you have the option to switch users, when you selection that option you get to the welcome screen with the accounts and there icons. On my computer the account that was just left has a logged on status under the icon and when you click another account the screen goes black. I never took notice of the status of the accounts before logging onto another. I will try sytem restore. Just a little side note...I am very new to windows as a home computer I use them at work, but have always had a mac in my home, about a month ago I was "forced" into using windows at home as well, so I built a pc ( for the first time). This problem did not start until after i manualy set the timings on my memory, I thought that might have caused the problem but I set them back to auto and it did nothing except slow the computer down a bit...so I have set the timings back and can deal with this problem I was just wondering if anyone had had this happen before.
