William23 Posted January 31, 2006 Report Share Posted January 31, 2006 Hello,In the last 10 years of using Windows I have never experienced something like this before. My Antivirus and Spyware scanner (2 seperated applications) are prompting for an update saying there wasn't an update for a very long time. But this is not the case, my definitions are both updated today. Still both tools are prompting for an update and continue to do this. Also strange is that on 1 particular site my browser (ie) don't set cookies. When I login in a secured area then the browser doesn't recognise I am logged in and returns to the login page.Someone knows what to do?Thanks in advance! William23 Posted January 31, 2006 Author Report Share Posted January 31, 2006 I have Norton Antivirus 2006 version 12.1.0.20 and Ad-Aware SE Professional version 1.06r. Further I have Windows XP Professional with service pack 2 and Internet Explorer 6.0.......I doubt it has something to do with the AV and SW applications. The problem occured in 2 applications at the same time. So maybe some windows settings has changed what I don't know of? I didn't change any settings.Thanks for the help!
