Hi all

I want to get a new DVD Burner tomorrow (Saturday), but not sure what to get.

I am looking at these models:

DVD Burner, IDE, 16x/16x/40x/24x/40x, Pioneer DVR-110D-BK, Black, bulk, +/ -, DL €52.99

DVD Burner, IDE, 16x/16x/40x/32x/40x, Pioneer DVR-110 Supermulti, Black, bulk, +/ -, DL, DVD-RAM €57.99

DVD Burner, IDE, 16x/16x/48x/32x, NEC ND-4551A Labelflash, +/ -, DL, Bulk, Black €59.99

DVD Burner, IDE, 16x/16x/48x/32x/48x, LG GSA-4166B-B, Bulk, +/ -, DL, DVD-RAM, LightScribe €64.99

Bulk means no packageing or software supplied

Are Labelflash & LightScribe the same sort of thing?

The list could go on, but there are too many to choose from.

Other recomendations are also welcome.

Thanks

Tony

Thanks for your input, i forgot about Lite On.

I think that it is probably horses for courses at the moment on the DVD Burner market.

I have had an LG for the last 2,5 years and have not had any problems with that in making my backups of my DVDs, i have found it mostly depends on which software you are using.

But i will bare Lite On in mind when i go to buy the burner.

Thanks

Tony

I'm not too bothered about the lightscribe function, i guess that the prices for the media will drop sooner or later.

I am leaning towards the LG one at the moment, only because i already have an LG burner, i wont know what i get untill i walk out of the shop with it :)

It looks like Label Flash is the same as Light Scribe.

Thanks

Tony
