Adding to what has been said above.

1/ Control panel

2/ Date, time, language, and regional options

3/ Change the format of numbers, dates & times

4/ Under Regioal options click the drop down box and select English (United Kingdom) and click apply

5/ Click the Language heading, click Details, click Add, from the dropdown box select English (United Kingdom), click OK then in the box below click on English US, then click Remove, then click Apply then OK.
