I find that most digital camera's (mine anyways) outputs it BMP form, and I find myself saving as a jpeg to transfer via the Internet. This would make the NConvert essential.I have used Irfanview for a long time now, and I love it. XnView has a red-eye tool, and a Brightness/Contrast/Gama correction tool right on the main toolbar.Images also open in tabs, like firefox.Images can be saved to many popular formats (like IrfanView) or batch converting via options.Another thing I noticed, XnView includes MetaData which I did not see in Irfanview.Exif properties are available via a tab on the properties window.If you're a fan if Irfanview, you might like XnView. But you may not like the small things you've come to love about Irfanview when you switch. The hotkeys are different, and apparently not customizable.I will continue to use XnView, and see if I will be replacing Irfanview. Scarecrow Man Posted March 7, 2006 Author Report Share Posted March 7, 2006 People who use it, swear by it.I am still getting used to it, and the only thing I have noticed so far, is Irfanview had WONDERFUL hotkeys, which Xn apparently doesnt.Other than that, Xn has surpassed my expectations.
