unvise32.exe disabled?

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone,

I am trying to install a video editing program (Pinnacle Studio) on my computer, but it gets stalled and an error message comes up saying the it can not locate "Windows\unvise.exe"

I did a search on my computer and found the file, but it has a red circle and slash through it and I can't open it.

How can I get this file to work again so that I can install the new program?

I've used Norton antivirus (I uninstalled it a while back) and am now using AVG free version. I understand that there might be viruses that hide in unvise32.exe and no Norton may have disabled or deleted it?

I'm on a PC, Windows XP, Pentium 4 CPU 2.40GHz, 1gb RAM

Thanks for any suggestions!
