Thought it was time I finally upgraded to XP but knew it wouldn't like this old piece of junk, so I bought myself a refurb'd Dell online. It arrived about two hours ago and it's all plugged in, ready to go, in its temporary spot while I transfer a bunch of my files from this one. One problem, though:How the :censored: do I wake up the monitor?Pressing the buttons gives me the following message: "INFORMATION: MONITOR IS IN POWER SAVE MODE. ACTIVATE USING PC". Seems simple enough, so I just start pressing buttons: nothing. Turn it off and on: nothing. Oh, I hear the chimes... but where's the f***ing picture?I presume this is a built-in XP software function and not a hardware issue. It's like there should be a "Wake Up Monitor" key on the keyboard, only there isn't. I've emailed the fellas I bought it from but I thought someone here might have a nice quick answer for me.Sorry for rambling.Cheers,Sam. If that's not it, play with the monitor's config (available via the control panel on the monitor itself) and see if there're power-save settings in there maybe..
