Chad Huskey Posted March 21, 2006 Report Share Posted March 21, 2006 I'm having a problem with my windows tool bar. I'm running an hp laptop with win xp media center edition. When I uninstalled all of the norton software that came with it, the battery icon dissapeared from the toolbar and I can't get it back. I've gone into tool bar options and set it for always show that icon. I've also gone into power options and checked always show an icon. Still nothing. I'd really like to have that icon back so I can keep an easy eye on the battery, I am just missing something simple here? Thanks. Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
andsome Posted March 21, 2006 Report Share Posted March 21, 2006 Have you tried running a system file check? Insert the installation CD and stop it from auto running. Chad Huskey Posted March 24, 2006 Author Report Share Posted March 24, 2006 I've tried both suggestions with no avail. 1: I'm running media center edtion and when I ran the test it was looking for the xp pro cd so it didn't finish.2: I updated but still nothing.I'm stumped, and aggrivated.Thanks for the help though.
