question on moveing/copying files

hi everyone,

its just a small thing but it doing my head in! lol, please help,

when i grab a file in a window and drag it into another it used to move it, as in cut and paste it, but now it is copying it instead. how do i change this back? the only thing ive done is add a 250 gig slave hd, im running win xp home sp2.

You could try holding down the shift key whilst you do it . Alternatively, just do as you are doing, and then go back and "zap" the file that you have just copied from.

i also found if i use right click it'll then gimmie the option after i drag it.

but still, if anyone knows how to change it so it does it all the time, then please tell me.

I find that using a left click, some things will copy and others will cut and paste. As Catgate says, if you use a right click when dragging you will get a choice.
