After Installing XP

Recommended Posts

Just a little tip here folks

I just re-formatted hard drive and re-installed XP

I Re-Installed my Sygate Firewall and wondered why i could not access my FTP website and some other sites.

I had a conflict, the XP firewall and Sygates firewall

Just a tip here, Turn OFF the XP firewall before Installing any other firewall

When i first installed XP this time last year i came across the same problem with norton.

I couldnt figure out what was causing the problem, but i stumbled upon the XP firewall thing about 1 month later!

Infact i had found a problem with the XP firewall today. It was preventing my wireless network from sharing files and printers.

So yet another reason to turn if off!

Hi Craig

I was baffled why i could not access my FTP account and Front Page could not connect either.

Then i turned off my Sygate firewall amd sat there stumped until i had that lightbulb flash above my head saying "Damn Damn Damn XP firewall"

Turned it off and no problems since :D :D :D
