casey
I have been given a Panasonic DVD recorder DMR-E50. In the handbook on one page it says DVD-ram 4.7GB disks can be used.I purchased some Panasonic DVD-ram 4.7GB disks but it will not accept them. It is shown as locked & won't unlock. If I try to format it says 'non - recordable media'.On the next page it says 'Disks that cannot be played DVD-ram (2.6GB/5.2GB)'.On the disks is printed 'DVD-RAM 120min/4.7GB recordable 2~3x speed'.Any idea if they should play ? .Casey

Boris
When you say you "were given" - has it been previously used or is it new ?
