Formatting a floppy disk..

Is there a way to format a floppy disk higher than 1.44 mb's ..??

How can i change the format to something other than fat..???

Go ahead and check out your own stuff, you'll see what i mean..! ( my computer / 3.5 in floppy drive / format )

Can you format a floppy as Fat 32 ? / NTFS ?

Any freeware stuff out there that can do this kind of stuff..?? ;)

I will have a word with Dr. Nakamatsu (the inventor of floppy disks) when I see him next time on the street...

But honestly, floppy disks were invented before FAT32 or NTFS were around, and there is really no more development going on for floppy disks and FD drives.

Actually - you can use this to make your floppies have greater storage space.

This is great, I never though there can be a program that can format a FDD from 1.44MB to 1.72MB.

Now that I see with my eyes, I belive!

Cool huh.?? Although i haven't been able to write a whole lot of things to a disk that i've formatted like this.! "hhmm" I wonder why.??

I haven't been able to format any floppy with any of the programs mentioned earlier. All produced an error on track 80.

Whats the error say ?? If your getting an error about track 80 then my guess would be that the disk is just bad..!! ;)
