I've had to do a re-format and have installed everything but the old Soundblaster compatable card. I'm not sure of the model despite removal and scrutiny with a magnifying glass so it would be wonder ful if I could use Creative's own online tool for checking the PC for their components! Unfortunately, all I get is the Active X Message failed to install and to adjust my security settings. I'm running IE 6.01 on the PC. Just open IE-tools, internet options, security, then click the default level button if it isn't greyed out and slide the slidebar all the way down. Then install what you were trying to install and slide the bar back to its default spot. You can also configure your active x options in there.
