I searched for an answer before posting, but couldn't find what I was after so here goes...I'm about to fit a new HDD (faster, SATA with more GB, more cache etc.). Because I have so many programs on my existing HDD I was wondering if it would be possible to disconnnect my old IDE drive, fresh install XP Home on the new drive then re-connect the old drive so I have 2 XP OS running on my PC. The idea being that I can gradually install all my programs on the new drive, meanwhile I can log on to my old drive if I want to access programs that have yet to be installed on the new drive...make sense?Eventually I can remove the OS from the old drive and just use it for back up and storage.Will this be possible...?CheersSteve Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
