Graphics Card Problem?

Recommended Posts

I have a new PCI GeForce 7900 GT card, one of these

https://www.novatech.co.uk/novatech/specpag...ml?bfg-79gt&P=1

I'm having a major colour problem, it's got two monitor slots and if I put one of the VGA adaptors in then everything is blue, if I put the other one in then everything is red. Doesn't matter which slot I put them in, is the card duff do you think or is there something in my bios that I should be tweaking.

It's driving me potty by the way

I've just tried it in another monitor with a different vga cable and I've got the same problem

ummmm, sorted. Apparently I have to plug both vga adaptors in, even though I'm not using one of them. Everything in the bios is still red but I can live with that.

BTW... it doesn't say you have to do that on any of the documentation, it was just a trial and error thing

:P Hey Nellie.? You did make sure to un-install the onboard graphics drivers first.? , Right..??

A friend of mine and I tried to install a card like that in his computer and ran into similar problems like you're having.. ;)

We got it installed and playing games on his computer kicks but now..!

I was about to call Novatechs tech support but everything is fine now... I swapped the dongles around and now I have no colour problems, apart from the fact that I had to re-callibrate my monitor.

Jason... it was a totally new build, no previous drivers and no onboard graphics. But thanks for the tip and of course if I was replacing the graphics card then yes, I would have had to scrub out my previous drivers.
