Lamb Chop
My sister has hotmail only. She seems not able to get a mailbox off her ISP although I have tried all UK sites and they all give free email just like in Australia. She is older than me by 5 years but still works - but does the "I cant understand this computer thing, thank God my boss likes manual book keeping and typing"So hotmail is what she, and her daughters have, both are teachers. Problem I have with it - is this. Over the last several years, I continually get mail back saying cant be delivered by the auto system. For over a week now has been same but she can get thru to me.Yesterday no 26 got thru to her as I got a note back today saying she thought I had been a bit quiet. She is going to ring hotmail and see what is happening? Now here, we go via MSN and/or Hotmail I think, dont bother myself as tried it for second throw away email address, but it was so slow to load even on Bband, that I gave up.I do know it gets busy as everyone uses it at work, etc. Here anyway, employers are getting shirty about the time used for personal emails and trying ways to cut it off. So anyone living in England, can you just ring up hotmail there and query not getting emails?I can my ISP but free web based email, I thought no support?Looking at your ISP's envious of the cheap rates and huge amounts of download limits, ours expensive. I pay $24.90 a month for 250MB and that is the most for that money. I could get broadband for as low as $9.90 a month but 70Mbs only.My USP is only one who charges for extra but doesnt shape so good.2Gb which most offer in UK costs around $99 a month here.English pound = 44.9cents Aussie today.Put me out of my misery can she ring up hotmail and get them to fix the problem or not? -pops-
Not a specific answer but, I gave up with Hotmail long, long ago. It messed me about so much and gave me so much junk that I decided I wasn't going to give them the pleasure of my custom any longer. For web based mail, I use Yahoo and Gmail. There are plenty of others and I'm sure that members here can suggest different ones if you wish.
dadyassa
I live in Spain , but have a Hotmail UK.The last week or so, anybody trying to access my Telefonica account woth Hotmail keeps getting bounced, so I tried with my Hotmail and got the same result.I emailed Hotmail and they checked and said that Telefonica were blocking them for some reason.I contacted Telefonica and they are checking into it.Like pops says maybe Telefonica and other ISP`s are blocking Hotmail cos so much spam comes from Hotmail accounts now. andsome
I only use Hotmail to register an address for programs that require this. I must be lucky, I have never had any problems at all with it. I don't get spam, only e-mails from software people who I have registered with.
