Guest ellas Posted June 23, 2003 Report Share Posted June 23, 2003 ok just installed a usb2 card and a case fan that plugs into a 3 pin in the mobo now my computer will not shutdown,any ideas nothing reported in windows everything is running fine how am I going to shut this down to sort it out my hunch is the case fan. Guest ellas Posted June 24, 2003 Report Share Posted June 24, 2003 ok sorry I missed a important other fact for you I was also using a new monitor ,guess what this is what was causing it,traced it to the 15 pin video lead except its not theres a pin missing its only got 14pins so a replacement is needed :angry:p.s nellies is the way to go for switching off,I would only pull the plug as a last resort.
