How to make cd drive bootable in bios?

Recommended Posts

Normally, you get a message on screen while its booting up ?

e.g. Select Delete to enter Setup (sometimes its F2)

Hold this key down when booting and it should take you into the BIOS.

One of the options there is your Boot order

Change the order of booting from what you currently have to

CD : HD : Floppy

Save this when you exit the BIOS and you should then be able to boot from a bootable CD

can get into my bios, but my bios must be too old to boot from cd. All I can do is boot from A: then C: or else C: then A:

Did you check if there are any BIOS updates available from the manufacturer?

What do I do with a bootdisk....sorry if that is a noobie question.

You put the image onto a floppy, then you can boot from it.
