doug Posted August 10, 2006 Report Share Posted August 10, 2006 I'm looking for Sponsors for this year's Great North Run, which takes place on October 1st. The run is a half Marathon (13.1 miles 21 km) and is from Newcastle-upon-Tyne, through Gateshead, past Jarrow then on to Marsden and finishes up on the coast at South Shields. All in the North East of England. It is a very popular run with about 40.000 finishers - the number of starters is higher due to drop outs. This will be my 4th successive run (now aged 69) and I raise money for Hunters Moor - The North East Regional Neurological Rehabilitation Unit. There are more details on my website. Hopefully I will have a better run this year after all last years disasters - more on the website. So far the unit has been able to acquire some very useful kit which I often see in use during frequent visits there.If anyone does wish to sponsor me please contact me by PM.
