"invalid page fault" with explorer - HELP

Everytime I delete multiple files from explorer or the desktop, I get an error message.

1. I get the "confirm multiple delete" message.

2. I click "yes" then I get this error message:

"Explorer cause an invalid page fault in module <unknown> at 0000.00000000"

WHAT IS THAT? That never happened before.

Another weird thing, it ONLY happens if I delete 2 or more files together (i.e., if I empty my temp folder).

It's really irritating cuz I have to delete files one at a time.

Which OS ?

Have you defragged and run disc clean up recently ?

How many other progs are running at the time ?

Have you tried deleting them in safe mode?

Running Windows 98 SE.

I ran scandisk and defragged - That's the first thing I did.

Only active programs I have running in background are Norton, Nvidia desktop manager, and EasyCD - pretty much the same programs I had running before all this started.

I recently installed windows media player 9 and the mp9 update.

Other than that, didn't really do anything else with my system.

It's a pretty weird problem. Could it be a problem with the registry?

If it is a problem with the registry then you could try Start, Run, enter

SCANREG /FIX

and click OK.

I tried scanreg - it reported no problems.

I'm not really sure what's causing it. It's pretty weird - AND very annoying.
