Wyzard Posted August 26, 2006 Report Share Posted August 26, 2006 So I brought a new laptop, 2nd hand which came with no XP disk, but when I got home I found out east asian iles were not installed, so is there anywhere I can download them so I can install them into my computer? cozofdeath Posted August 27, 2006 Report Share Posted August 27, 2006 Have you tried during the installation were it asks you for the Windows CD to click browse and direct it to your C:\i386 folder. If that doesn't work go here to install the Microsoft Global IME 5.02 for 32-bit WindowsThat link is for the IME, not the whole language pack that you would use to view japanese characters for Windows. But you don't need the original disk. Any XP would work , just ask someone for an XP disk.You could look for it on emule or something, but this is of course illegal. If you don't have a I386 folder (or can't install it from there), then you really need an XP disk. Borrow it from someone to install the East Asian language files.
